About Graham
Graham was born in the Far East of Scottish parents, his early schooling was abroad but returned to Scotland for full time education at Kirriemuir Seminary, Dundee High School and Grove Academy.
Amongst other subjects Graham studied art and won a scholarship and could have followed a career in textile and design but chose an apprenticeshipin Architecture. The call of the East was too strong and he returned and became a Tea Planter.
Graham is self taught and started painting seriously in the mid 70's and joined Monifieth Art Society in 1976 where for a short time he held the post of Publicity Officer. He is also a member of Broughty Ferry Art Society and exhibits his work widely in the local area. He has also exhibited in a number of small galleries.
His chosen medium is oil but he has recently expanded into acrylics with a preference for larger works.
Graham likes to paint a variety of subjects and this has proved popular and successful when exhibiting locally.
Graham also undertakes commissions and has recently completed works for abroad.
